What you get
What's different
- By what you do, not by job title. You also find roles with a different title from your last job.
- From your profile, not from a chat. Chat assistants write what sounds good. Here, only what you can talk about goes in.
- See at once whether the role is open from Austria. For remote and foreign roles, the traffic light shows why.
You see right away which roles fit you
Genie Match sorts your matches by fit. At the push of a button, the AI reads the must-have requirements from the ad, each with the sentence behind it.

Your application only says what's true
- The AI drafts your cover letter in the Austrian format, only from your profile.
- The evidence check flags unsupported sentences; you add or cut them. Only then is the PDF created.
- With Premium or the Career Boost, your CV is tailored to the job as well.

Prepared for the interview, with an application photo from your phone
- The interview coach asks about the job and its must-have requirements. You answer out loud, in German, and see what works.
- The photo studio turns your phone snapshot into an application photo, in up to three variants.
How it works: applying with BewerbungsGenie
45 seconds, no sound: a nurse after her shift, from the right ad to a rehearsed interview. The film shows the German interface; the app is also available in English.
The film as text, with the German on-screen lines translated: In the evening after her shift, a nurse sits at the laptop in her kitchen. On screen: “Still looking for jobs after your shift?” Find: a job card shows a nursing role in a care home in Vienna, a match of 94, “Austria allowed” and the met requirement “very good German”. “You see at once which job fits.” Apply: one sentence in the cover letter is linked to its evidence in the profile, a second is flagged “no evidence”, and the PDF only comes once everything checks out. “Your application only says what is true.” Photo studio: her phone snapshot from the kitchen becomes an application photo in scrubs. “A phone snapshot becomes an application photo.” Prepare: she practises the interview out loud on her phone and gets feedback with a quote and a tip. “Practise the interview out loud and get tips.” Overview: three applications, all backed by evidence, PDF ready. “All your documents in one place.” Then she reads the job offer (“The offer is here!”) and walks down a hospital corridor in scrubs (“Your first day at work.”). At the end: “The jobs that really fit. And the application to go with them.” The scenes are generated with AI, the person does not exist, and the product views are simplified and show example data.

I'm Bernhard Götzendorfer, and I build BewerbungsGenie on my own, from Vienna. Before this I built BuchhaltGenie. If something is missing or not right, write to me. I read and answer your email myself. An AI helps me sort incoming emails.

Frequently asked questions
What does it cost to get started?
Nothing.
With Free you get matches with the traffic light and must-haves, one CV, cover letters and the PDF without a watermark. You also get 2 practice interviews a month and 3 application photos. On Free, all AI steps share a quota of 40 AI requests a month. What the paid plans add is on the pricing page.
Does this help in an AMS context?
Yes.
The CV template “AMS-kompatibel” (AMS-compatible) is plain and single-column, and you can pick it on Free. For every role you see whether it is open to people based in Austria. Under Manage you can download a list of your sent applications as PDF or CSV, also on Free. Whether it counts as proof is up to AMS (Austria’s public employment service). We are not connected to AMS itself: we read nothing from its eJob-Room portal and pass nothing on to AMS.
I do not have a CV yet. Can I still start?
Yes.
With “Angaben selbst eintragen” (enter details yourself) you build your profile step by step: education, internships, languages and skills. Your first CV is created from it, for example in the “Klassisch (Österreich)” or “AMS-kompatibel” template, both included in Free.
I want to switch to a different line of work. Can it help?
Yes.
Under “Finden” (Find), open “Genie fragen” (Ask Genie) and describe what you can do and where you want to go. Genie suggests fields that fit, and if you agree, your matches follow them. For each role you can then have the must-have requirements checked and see which ones you already meet.
Will my employer find out that I am looking?
Not from us.
Your profile is not public; only you can see it. We do not pass it on to employers or recruiters, and you apply yourself: BewerbungsGenie sends nothing in your name. It is best to sign in with your private email address.
What happens to my data (GDPR, AI)?
Your profile and your documents are stored on servers in the EU.
For the AI steps, profile and job data go to Google Gemini in the US, based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and on the paid tier, which does not use your data for training. You can delete your account completely at any time, including all documents.

Can I use an AI application photo, and what happens to my phone snapshot?
Yes, that is what the photo studio is for.
What matters is that people recognise you at the interview: only clothing, background and lighting are meant to change, and you choose from up to three variants. Every image is labelled as AI-generated at its bottom edge and in the file. Your phone snapshot is sent to Google Gemini in the US to create the photo (EU-US Data Privacy Framework). Google does not use it for training and keeps inputs only for a limited time to detect abuse. On our side, your phone snapshot is deleted automatically after 30 days.
Do you also find roles in my industry?
Coverage is densest today in IT and digital, followed by retail and logistics.
It is thinner in care and in engineering. If you find a role on a careers page we do not cover, you can paste the ad in yourself and get the same analysis. The application module does not depend on our sources at all: we write your cover letter for any ad you give us. With Premium or the Career Boost, we also tailor your CV to it.
Can an employer tell that AI was involved?
It is possible, and nobody can rule it out, including us.
What tends to stand out are stock phrases that would fit any job and sentences you could not explain in an interview. With us, every sentence goes back to an entry in your profile, the evidence check shows you which one, and you reword anything that does not sound like you. What you send is your application.
Do I have to provide a photo or my date of birth?
No.
Both are still common in Austria, but neither is required. You decide whether they go on your CV.
Is BewerbungsGenie finished yet?
Not entirely, but you can use it.
BewerbungsGenie is open to everyone as a public beta, and the Free plan costs nothing. Beta means we keep building, and something may still go wrong. Where something is still missing or thin, we say so, for example coverage per industry. If you notice something, write to hallo@bewerbungsgenie.at. Bernhard reads and answers every email himself; an AI helps him sort incoming emails. Please do not include health data or other particularly sensitive information unless your question requires it.
Which languages can I get my application in?
Your CV and cover letter can be written in German or English.
You pick the language per document, and for a job ad we suggest the ad's language. The app, this website and the sign-in are available in German and English.
Where do the roles come from?
Every role shows where it came from: straight from the employer’s careers page or from a licensed data source.
We never show you sources we have no licence for.
Are the product views real?
Yes, apart from the data in them.
The product views are screenshots from the running product, and the example card at the very top is recreated from views of the app. The companies, roles, names and scores are example data. The people in the photo-studio gallery do not exist: the phone snapshots and the application photos are both generated with AI, the application photos by the same photo studio you can use here. Both are labelled on the image. The operator’s portrait is a real photo. One exception among the product views is the walkthrough film: its scenes are generated with AI and show a person who does not exist, and the product views in it are simplified redrawings with example data. The film is labelled on the image as well.
Can I withdraw if it is not for me?
You can try BewerbungsGenie on Free without paying.
So that Premium and Career Boost start right after you buy them, you request this at checkout in a separate checkbox that is not pre-ticked. If you withdraw within 14 days, you only pay the proportionate amount for the days up to your withdrawal. For a photo pack you agree that we start providing it straight away and confirm that your right of withdrawal then ends (§ 18(1)(11) FAGG, Austrian distance selling law). For questions about a purchase, write to hallo@bewerbungsgenie.at.
How do I cancel?
You can cancel Premium any time in your settings, effective at the end of the month you have paid for.
The Career Boost is a one-off pass with no renewal. Your account drops back to Free automatically.
